Directed Ships Its Newest Connected Car Product – Viper Connect

VISTA, Calif. (September 23, 2019) – Directed announced today that it is now shipping Viper Connect, its newest innovative connected car product. The all-new Viper Connect is the easiest and fastest way to add location-based monitoring and tracking features to vehicles through a simple OBD-II port installation. Viper Connect also pairs with any DS4 or DS4+ systems to enable the full suite of connected car functionality, including remote start and security capability, provided through the Viper SmartStart app. “We are thrilled to be shipping Viper Connect, a major advancement in our connected car portfolio,” said Geoff Weathersby, VP Connected Car at Directed. “Viper Connect offers a seamless, stand-alone connected car experience that is a perfect solution for monitoring teenage drivers and tracking small business vehicles. Similar to the Viper SmartStart Pro, Viper Connect uses built-in GPS and LTE cellular technologies to locate and monitor customers’ vehicles. Viper Connect features on-demand location, allows users to get directions to vehicle location, share vehicle locations and set up two SmartFences, which provide alerts when vehicles enter or exit specified locations.
